FAQ

What is web hosting?

Once you purchase a shared web hosting plan, you will have access to store your sites files on one of our secure servers under your chosen domain name. Your domain name serves as the address that the world will use to view your website.

By purchasing a shared or business hosting package, you're buying space on one of our servers. This is much like the space on a computers hard drive, and the difference is that the web server provides access to your websites files from anywhere.

What kind of web hosting do I really need?

In order to recommend the best hosting solution, we will need more info about your needs. What will you be hosting? What is the primary function of what you plan to host? What is your site or will your site be built with? How much traffic does it get or do you anticipate it getting? Do you have any special requirements? Will you need any specialized modules or scripts installed? Once we have the answers to these questions, we can recommend a solution that will fit your needs.

How can I build my website?

We offer a free do it yourself website builder to design your own site. We also provide a one-click install of the most popular CMS's (content management systems) available such as WordPress, Drupal, & Joomla.

Alternatively, we can provide a team of professional designers that can design a fresh and unique website for any need.

How to I transfer my website to your server?

If you have built your website in an HTML editor, like Microsoft Expression Studio or Dreamweaver, you will have to upload your website files via FTP (File Transfer Protocol). Our control panel includes an FTP File Manager that you have access to from your cPanel.

If your files are 20 MB or larger, we recommend using the tool FileZilla, which works with Linux, Mac, and Windows operating systems, or any other third-party FTP clients.
